FAQs

  • I wildcraft (pick or dig in the wild) many of the herbs that can be done so sustatinably—meaning they are often your common “weeds” and my harvesting will not hurt the population.  I also grow some of my herbs using chemical free methods. Many herbs I purchase from other local herbalists or larger companies that I trust such as Herbalist and Alchemist or Mountain Rose.  Sometimes I will send your formula to an outside herbal apothecary and they will mix and ship it to you directly.

No matter what, you can trust your herbal preparations are of the highest quality and are sourced with their own sustainability in mind.

  • Most of the time I give a tincture and/or a tea.  The tincture is a medicinal extract in which the properties of the plant have been extracted into alcohol.  This is taken by putting the recommended amount of droppers in a little water.  The amount of alcohol is minimal, but I can always turn to other alternatives if you prefer.  Teas are sent as dried, mixed herbs, which you prepare yourself at home.  Detailed instructions are given when you receive your protocol.

  • It depends.  Sometimes you will find relief in a few days for a more acute condition.  More chronic, long term conditions might take 6 months or more.  I recommend at least 3 months when trying to make a hormonal shift.  During your consultation we’ll talk about what you can expect when you start your herbs.

  • My training and experience is primarily in women’s health, but I’ve seen a fair share of men and children at this point too.  Other health concerns have included: enlarged prostate, kidney stones, ADHD, seasonal allergies, autoimmune disorders, and anxiety and focus issues in children.  Please reach out if you’re interested in herbs regardless of your condition, and I will refer you to someone more appropriate if I can’t help you.
